Kalm Guest House is morphing to Kalm Guest Suites. We have sold one of our properties and we are downscaling, retaining two of our magic guest suites from the previous portfolio, namely “Yours” and “Whose”. These two suites are currently being “pimped” to make them even more desirable, offering buckets more than most guest accommodation in Clarens!

We are open for bookings as most of the enhancement  work has been undertaken in the last two weeks.

Our website is being revised over the next few days to reflect the changes/progress, In the interim, if you give us a call or email us, we will gladly tell you about what is happening!!!

Situated in an older more established Clarens “suburb” known as the Swartland, Kalm Guest Suites are within easy walking distance (1km) of the village square, and also the surrounding hills for the more energetic. Being slightly distant from the centre of town means quiet days and nights away from the hustle and bustle on busy weekends!

We have two suites, “Yours” and “Whose ?”. Details will be added shortly, but as mentioned above, please call Karen on 0844201989 for information.

We are leaving the rest of the site unchanged for a few days as it gives a great idea of where we are and what we look like. Bear in mind that you should really only look at “Yours” and “Whose for room details.

Summer 2016/2017

Snow of August 2012; it was a memorable occasion!!

Kalm 1

 Kalm 1 and 2“Whose?” cottage

As you can see in the lee of the grey ball, we had nearly six inches, it was great fun!!!

On the 11th October, we held a birthday party at Kalm for a very special family member who turned 90 on that day. With family descending on Clarens from around the country and abroad, and summer rains forecast, we took the precaution to provide cover for the occasion. A bedouin tent was erected, straddling the garden, which provided a wonderful setting that may well be used for weddings and other special functions.

We’ve had the tent up again, this time for a wedding –
